Company Profile

During 2006 we have gone through some major re-engineering and following the continued decline of the container storage and handling industry we made the decision to exit this market and re-focus towards engineering consolidating our operations on our Alexandra dock site and securing a long-term tenant for the Staithes road site.

Following the re-location of our head office to Alexandra Dock we commenced the growth plan of the operation firstly by the acquisition of Northfield Engineering a local machining company specialising in the manufacture and refurbishment of hydraulic rams. The acquisition and relocation of there operation to our Alexandra dock site was concluded in May 2006. Following this we concluded negotiations and the acquisition of another local company East Coast Fluid Power they specialise in the manufacture and repair of hydraulic hose’s both onsite and mobile. They also supply a wide range of lubricants and hydraulic accessories like pumps, motors, valves, power packs, seals, fittings, adaptors, couplings and gauges etc.

With the consolidation of both Northfield Engineering and East Coast fluid Power into our existing Alexandra dock site with Wide Range Lift trucks and the former Initial Metals fabrication and welding operation from which we now offer mobile welding services. We now have an operation that offers the complete servicing and maintenance package to all dock based companies.
